can't modify/delete a file

I'm using Download MOD 6.4.16 and recently I realized that I can't modify or delete files. The error is

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /downloads.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

I have no problem creating/uploading new files. Also on FTP some files have 777 and some have 644.

Probably the hosting provider changed something which affected this MOD functionality. Any idea how to fix this issue?

downloads.php could not be found on this server

First look for this file and reupload it, if this will be missing.
This is elementary for the mod.

That file is on the server; otherwise I won't be able to upload new files, isn't it?

As I stated before: this issue occurs when I try to update or delete files.

Then check the permission settings of the folders where the hack should upload the files.
They must at least be set to chmod 0744.

/dl_mod/downloads/ and /dl_mod/thumbs have 777.

And all other files from the mod exists in your forum and have the recommended permissions, so the webserver/php can use them?
Are you sure, that all download files are online, too?
Please check this with the "Toolbox" in the ACP from the Download MOD.

I found the file using Toolbox but if I try to click on it I'm getting

Attached you can see how it looks on FTP server. Do owner/group settings have something to do with this issue?

Theck the permissions of the folders you use for the downloads.
Their permissions must be set right, too!
Maybe the file .htaccess which you can find in the folder dl_mod/donwloads/ can disable downloads, too.
Drop this file and retry.

Same permissions on folders: 777, 567 (owner), 565 (group)

As administrator I have full permissions.

I had a .htaccess file in /dl_mod/downloads which I deleted it but it didn't make a difference: I'm still not able to edit/remove files.

But there are no permissions to access the file so you must check them.
Maybe folders must be set to chmod 0744 or lower to set the right permissions.
CHMOD 0777 to folders are not alltimes the right settings.
