Put downloads in subdomain

Hello,

I'm wondering how I can get this mod to serve files from a subdomain. I've managed to hack several files so that the downloads.php file will display in a subdomain, but I'm wondering how I go about getting the files itself to download from a subdmain.

The mod if not designed to use an other domain as the own one, so you must host the downloads in the same structure as the forum works.
