no download button / captcha

hello, i've installed your download-mod (latest version), it was a clean install and followed every step!

Now i've added 2 download items (one uploaded to server, and one external link) but on both download pages there is no download-button, and also no captcha field. I've read ur forum and saw i had to delete the entry in the ban-list.. but that also doesnt change anything!

The source (html) does show the table where the download-button should be, but there is no content! (see source:)

what's going wrong?

Do you have updated the board cache?
Please redo this from the startup page in the Admin Panel.

But:
The captcha image is in your source code snippet. Look for the img-Tag in line 12 ...

i cleared all the cache and refreshed my template, theme and imageset multiple times!!

wich line do you mean? even if i disable the captcha it shows nothing

This will display the captcha image.
Please recheck your captcha settings or try another one.

the captcha on my registration page just works..
but as i said, when i strip down the whole captcha from the page it will still not show a download button!

This can have several reasons: The download permissions for the category are not set correct, the user needs x posts to be able to download or there's not enough traffic for the user to download the file. Each setting are reflected on "not free" uploaded downloads.
If you switch the downloads to "free" or "free for reg. Users" the user will not need posts or traffic to download the file.
And with a missing download button, the captcha will still be hidden, too...

The traffic for downloads for guests in 0 B is completely used up for this month. Wait until the next month or ask an administrator.

There are overall 1 downloads with a size of 728.02 KiB / 500 MiB.
This includes 1 external downloads.

the traffic is good, i even put up a traffic for the guest-accounts but still no download button
i rechecked the permission pages, but me as admin should have full rights (view/download/mod/upload) the rest of the groups are also set (view and download)

this image is also on the page, so it should be downloadable! but as i said, still no button!

So you've the problem with an external download in this example.
External downloads can be downloaded by all users, so the button must be shown, if the category permissions are set for the user/usergroup.

Can you link to your forum to take a look?

i'm running everything on localhost till everything works.. what do you want to see? i can copy/paste or screenshot capture it..

I wanted to test the captcha so I will have the source code, but on localhost I can't test it...
