I set /dl_mod/downloads and its subfolders and files to 744 but it didn't make a difference.


Those used to work with 777 but recently something has changed on the server. I can't figure out what and why Download MOD doesn't work properly anymore

Same permissions on folders: 777, 567 (owner), 565 (group)

As administrator I have full permissions.

I had a .htaccess file in /dl_mod/downloads which I deleted it but it didn't make a difference: I'm still not able to edit/remove files.

They should be since I am able to upload files. Here is the link

I found the file using Toolbox but if I try to click on it I'm getting Forbidden

/dl_mod/downloads/ and /dl_mod/thumbs have 777.

That file is on the server; otherwise I won't be able to upload new files, isn't it?

As I stated before: this issue occurs when I try to update or delete files.

I'm using Download MOD 6.4.16 and recently I realized that I can't modify or delete files. The error is Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /downloads.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use ...

Can you set Download MOD in such way so you can force a user to upload a file before download any?

And furthermore: can you limit this download time within 24h from the moment the file has been uploaded?

No problem.

As I said, using my workaround:

1) you don't have to worry about updating manually forum language files; you could easily overwrite them with the original ones from phpBB.com and it won't affect Download MOD language files... with the original solution you have to update forum files ...

It would be useful for new Hotschi's Download MOD localized installation. If a user wants to use a different language than EN/DE, he has to translate MOD changes for language/en (or de)/help_faq.php to local language because these aren't included in the localized archive file !

Download FAQ applies only to Download section. Install procedure (w/o AutoMOD) will help English and German boards only...
