Module not accessable

Hi,
Been using the download ext for at least 10 years. works great. I have it on a few forums.
Upgraded all the forums a few months back to 3.3.12 and DL ext 8.2.14 works Good here

recently went to enable it on another forum and had an Error during installation. i beleive it was 8.2.10
deleted files and uploaded 8.2.15 and was able to enable it.
When i try to use the ACP to access the settings i get

Also to note i now have 2 instances of the download ext in the ACP under extensions.
What steps should i take to get this to work again?

i beleive it was 8.2.10
deleted files and uploaded 8.2.15 and was able to enable it.

You have just delete the files from the old release, upload the new release and then?
Deaktivate the extension and reactivate it?

The order is extremely important:
First deactivate an extension, then delete the files and reactivate the extension after uploading the new package.
Deleting the files before disabling the extension can result in many errors!

Also to note i now have 2 instances of the download ext in the ACP under extensions.

You now have to look in which of the two existing entries there are modules that are not translated correctly.
I would delete this tree completely and then see if there are any further errors with the modules.
Because some module seems to have not been deleted correctly and is now producing the error message.
Especially since it is extremely unusual that the download area in the ACP appears completely twice.

sadly i dont recall. I tried to enable the EXT via the ACP and it said something along the lines of something went wrong and everything was put back the way it was. you should check your board.

Yes after the issue, the ext was not enabled. so i deleted the files, uploaded the new set. and went to enable the EXT
This time it enabled OK. but i have the error when i try to access the settings modules

these are the 2 screen shots of the module trees. Will deleting one of these possibly fix the problem?

Also to note: On this forum i don't think i had been using the EXT yet. and if i was, there is nothing important there at the moment.
So if we need to start from scratch. its not an issue.

I should delete the second tree because this contains many malconfigured modules.
After this the extemsiom may work without errors.

I removed that whole tree of modules... but still same error.

Okay, I see, that the "Setup Wizard" module is not installed.
Please add this module manually with the following settings:

Every time the extension is called up in the ACP, it checks whether it has been installed correctly and set up for the first use.
A forum cache that has not been deleted can lead to misinterpretations, which requires the setup wizard to be called up.
If this module is missing, an error message will be shown.
So please reinstall this module manually to eleminate this error.

I added that module... but sadly still same error.

And i did clear the cache.

How can i just delete everything and start all over? there wasnt much. i can put it all back quickly

Deaktivate the extension, delete all data by using the extension manager and the you should be able to remove or reinstall the extension.
Bevor reinstalling be sure there is no existing module from the extension and the deleting was running without any error messages.
