And you have not forgotten the ACP setting "Show extended statistical data in download footer:" fo set this to admin or founder?
You can disable the mini stats in the footer but enable extended data to the selected user groups.
To hide the stats completely you need to disable both settings.

For ratings:
Do you have an extra fast mouse?
I'm completly unable to rate multiple times on the same download.
The only possible solution is to disable the rating stars (hide them) after a click and display them after reload the result images.
It isn't nice to see a missing rating block it the server needs some times to return the result.
But maybe this will work for you so please retry with the attached file.

Not for me.
The mini stats button is disabled if I disable both options.
And I've tested this with a founder and a normal user account.
The help text for this option is now out of date and harbors misunderstandings.
In the past, the mini statistics was displayed as fixed text in the footer of the extension before it could be displayed via a pop-up opening by a button.
So the legend, too.
Therefore, the help text was revised not for this option.

But what you mean is the button for the statistics page itself. This can be activated / deactivated with another option for certain user groups:"Permission to the statistic page from user level:" which you can find under "Protection".
I've now extend this option to be able to hide the button and deny the statistic page access for all users.

Yes, but this refers to the button for the mini statistics.

The access level is a permission/protection setting, the hide/display option for the mini stats button not.

Yes, but only the statistical data of downloads for the current edited category. But the add user and change user will not be purged by this option.

This prevents that a file can be downloaded directly if you emulate the link of the extension.
Otherwise, there would otherwise be no question of the user's authorizations and all restrictions could be overridden. as a rule, this option is not absolutely necessary.

Statistics only uses the current user to count upload and download traffic. This is by design to provide or deny traffic to this user.
It would be of little use if the user to whom a download is to be assigned is checked here.
So that definitely won't change.
